Terms of service
Terms governing use of the Close Safety Systems public website.
Last updated: 7 August 2026
About these terms
This website is operated by Close Safety Systems Ltd, company number 16677751, registered in England and Wales. By using the website, you agree to these terms. These terms concern the public website; pilots, evaluations, dashboard accounts, subscriptions and commercial services require separate written terms.
Permitted use
You may use this website for lawful business information and enquiries. You must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, misuse the website, misrepresent your identity or use automated extraction in a way that damages the service or infringes our rights.
Website information
The website provides general information about CSS and its development and pilot activities. It is not engineering, functional-safety or legal advice, and it does not form a specification, offer, warranty or contractual commitment.
Development-stage material
Hardware images may show engineering demonstrators. Features, performance, appearance, availability, roadmap items and proposed deployment arrangements may change through testing and validation. CSS does not currently claim a finished, certified product for unrestricted industrial deployment. Any pilot or commercial engagement requires separately agreed written terms, responsibilities and scope.
Safety boundary
CSS is being developed as a read-only operational monitoring layer. Website information must not be used as a substitute for a correctly designed, validated, maintained and operated safety system, site risk assessment or competent engineering judgement.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website, branding, copy, diagrams and product materials belong to Close Safety Systems Ltd or are used with permission. The CSS system is patent pending under UK patent application GB2514612.7. Nothing on this website grants a licence to reproduce, manufacture, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit CSS designs, firmware, software or documentation.
Availability and external links
We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. External links are provided for convenience and do not make us responsible for third-party content, services or availability.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information, use outside an agreed engagement or events beyond our reasonable control.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply elsewhere.
